InVenture Facilitator
Training
At this training,
you'll learn how to facilitate InVenture activities for your
troop, service unit or day camp event. An InVenture
activity is a fun game that presents a challenge to a group,
which the participants must solve within a given set of
rules and by using only the materials provided.
InVenture activities help participants to explore and
develop trust, teamwork, creativity, communication styles,
leadership skills and problem-solving strategies.
InVenture games are a fun and exciting way of teaching the
girls in your troop life skills that will help them to work
better together and achieve a higher level of success.
You are encouraged to attend InVenture facilitator training
on Saturday, September 16, 2006, from 1:00 - 4:30 p.m.
Please contact
Jessica
Coke at 619-1422.
Peace'n It
All Together Peacemaker Training
We have an
opportunity for Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts to earn the
Peace'n It All Together Peacemaker program aid
specialization training. Peace'n It All Together
enables older girls to learn how to relate to each other
with understanding and respect and teach younger girls to do
the same. The girls will be able to lead the patch
program for any troop or service unit, to help other Girl
Scouts to manage conflict and create a safe social
environment. Following the training the girls will be
asked to co-facilitate at least one peace day for a
group of Junior Girl Scouts. Please encourage your
girls to attend the training on September 23, 2006, from
12:30 - 5:30 p.m. Please contact
Jessica Coke at 619-1422.
